Assetic Architecture Overview:

The below covers and overview of the relationships between myData, myData Web Services and AssetCloud

 

What platforms are supported by myData (Server, Database, Client)?

Can the myData modules be run on Terminal Services?

Yes, Assetic is commonly run under TS / Citrix environments.

What is the initial size of the myData databases?

 

The initial database size is 2MB.

 

However, for a typical initial deployment, depending on the categories configured and base data being loaded in, would be under 200MB as an initial setup.
· What is the growth calculation for the Assetic databases?

 

We would recommend a minimum 20GB allowance.

 

For a 100,000 ratepayer council the database grows at approximately 1,500MB per annum.

 

For a 30,000 ratepayer council the growth rate is approx 500MB per annum.

How are myData module updates delivered to us?

Via an in-application download facility.

 

The myData client checks monthly and allows admins to download the update.

 

Who is responsible for performing the Assetic updates?

 

The network administrator (myData is deployed with an admin utility that performs database and server upgrades)

What is the security model for myData?

We support Windows Authentication and product-related ACL is configured within the myData application.
